Meet the team:

Gemma Marshall

Chartered Physiotherapist

REHAB... : acupuncture, sports massage (with ischemic trigger point technique, soft tissue release & muscle energy technique), joint mobilisation, kinesiology taping, exercise prescription & lifestyle advise.

I have a multi-modal approach to aid you in managing your injuries long-term to live a pain free & active life!

I first aspired to become a Physiotherapist after I gained treatment for a snowboarding injury in 2009 in France. Soon later I pursued my training…

I completed my Sports Massage Diploma in 2014 during my first year at University & worked mobile during my studies. Since qualifying in 2015, I initially gained experience in Neurological Physiotherapy, Brain Injury Rehabilitation.

From 2017 I focussed on Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy & completed the Contemporary Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Physiotherapy Msc module at Sheffield Hallam University. This provided me to focus on what will help my patients improve their lifestyles & manage their injuries without relying on passive treatments.

Since then I have gained additional training to widen my Physiotherapy treatment ‘toolkit’ to be prepared to treat any injury you may have.

UNWIND... Holistic Massage Therapist

treatments: swedish massage, Hot Stone massage & pregnancy massage.

I have always had a fascination with the body and how it works, which led me to train as a massage therapist, qualifying in 2015.

I believe that massage is a wonderful way to get some “me time” in a busy world, and is fantastic for sorting out those everyday aches and pains.

I like to search for and ease those problem areas, helping you feel a little more like “you”.

UNTANGLE... Sports Massage Therapist

Treatments: Sports Massage

My Sports Massage Therapy training was undertaken in 2017 after discovering the benefits, following years of reoccurring lower back pain. Sports Massage Therapy allows me to incorporate my love of anatomy & a passion for freeing those from aches & pains that are common in an increasingly busy world.

In conjunction with working at KnN I will be furthering my Diploma training within Sports Massage Therapy also undertaking a cadaver dissection course. This will allow me to gain a deeper understanding of the musculoskeletal systems, develop & enhance my massage skills and to ultimately provide the most effective assessment and treatment to relieve your aches & pains.

An opportunity for me to follow a new and exciting career path led me to train as a holistic massage therapist at Sheffield Centre for Massage Training where I qualified in 2011. Soon after this I trained in Hot Stones Massage and Tsuboki Japanese Face Massage.

Holistic massage is an ideal way to “switch off” from the outside world and pay attention to your own health and well-being; particularly important at times when life feels stressful or hectic.

I aim to provide a treatment which not only addresses any particular problem areas you may have such as neck or shoulder tension, but one which also leaves you feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated.
